The 25 Water Street project involved renovations to the 143,000 SF second floor space including two interconnecting stairs to the main floor and extensive glazing systems cut into the existing walls to allow the introduction of natural light into the former mall space.
The project was challenging from a scheduling and budget point of view as another facility at 600 Weber was being vacated and staff were moving to 25 Water, requiring extensive phasing. We also discovered many imperfections from the days the building was operated as a mall, which required our team to quickly develop solutions to these challenges while maintaining the schedule and budget.
The project was completed using the CCDC5b Construction Management contract.
